Open Source
VMware Alternatives

Without vendor lock-in

No more inconvenient vendor lock-ins

Broadcom has recently bought VMware and significantly increased license fees. Luckily, there are open source alternatives:

  • Yaook – The Lifecycle Management Tool for OpenStack: for big installations scaling to hundreds or thousands of nodes
  • Proxmox – Linux distribution for server virtualization: for smaller installations up to 32 nodes

As one of the founding member of ALASCA consortium, dNation is the active software developer of Yaook.

We are ready to support you in migration from VMware

We have already successfully migrated few  large scale installations from VMware to Yaook and several smaller installations to Proxmox.

We are using both Yaook and ProxMox ourselves.
